Dual Class is available to all characters. A character can have 1 main and 1 dual class. Dual class can be developed up to maximum level, like main class. Dual class gives a character additional skills which affect main and dual classes.

Obtaining a Dual Class[]

Dualclass

Before a dual class is added, an empty slot with a lock is shown in the character status window (Alt + T).

  • When a dual class is added, there’ll be a class icon with a blue background.
  • The main class icon is always displayed on a red background, and the dual class icon is displayed on a blue background.

To add a dual class, the character must reach level 105. After reaching 105th level, the character will receive a message about being eligible for a dual class from Dual Class Master Joachim.

Talk to Dual Class Master Joachim in the town of Aden and add a dual class you want, while keeping in mind the following requirements:

  • It’s impossible to choose a dual class that is the same as the main class at the Awakening (3rd Liberation).
  • It’s impossible to choose as a dual class the following classes: Eviscerator, Sayha's Seer, Tyrr Maestro, Iss Dominator.

After being added, the dual class receives Awakening, level 85 and class-appropriate items: a pack with a cloak, Chaos Pomander (Dual Class) - 2 pcs., Paulina's R-grade Equipment Set, as well as 1,000,000 of XP.

Dual Class skills certification[]

Having added a dual class, you can learn special skills. There are two types of certification skills: common and improved. Learning requires special certificates which can be obtained from special NPCs: Trandon from Talking Island Village or Gallias from town of Aden. To receive certificates, talk to these NPCs and choose the dialogue line: “Receive Dual Class certification” or “Receive improved Dual Class certification”. Acquiring of items is only available with the dual class. Certificates are free.

After receiving the certificates, talk to these NPCs and choose the dialogue line: “Learn or forget Dual Class skills”. Skill learning is only available with the main class. Certified skills can be deleted. To do so, you’ll need to pay 20,000,000 adena.

  • After the payment all certified skills will be deleted. The remaining certificates (if any) will be removed as well.
  • To obtain certificates, you’ll need to talk to the NPCs again.

Switching between Main and Dual Class[]

You can freely switch between the main and dual class in the character status window (Alt + T).

  • To switch, right-click the icon of the class which is inactive at the moment and then confirm your choice in the pop-up window.

After switching, all the buffs (including vitality-related ones) cast on your character disappear.

When you switch to the dual class, the following happens:

  • Switching to dual class tattoo set: main class doesn't lose its tattoos. However, you’ll need separate ones for the dual class.
  • Switching to dual class vitality bonus: they are separate for main and dual class.
  • Preserved: PvP/PK counter, clan, recommendations, friends list, party room info and quests. The inventory and the warehouse are the same for main and dual class.

After switching, your character receives the Identity Crisis effect. For 15 sec., you're going through an Identity Crisis. Battle abilities are decreased, skills and items (except for potions) cannot be used and you can change class.

When you switch to the dual class, basic stats of the character stay the same.

You cannot switch between dual and main classes if your character doesn’t have enough space in the inventory or weight limit is exceeded (no more than 95 slots should be occupied in the inventory in order to switch to the dual class).
